I wanted to replace my old shimano BC1.37x24 bottom bracket. So i removed my bottom bracket and noticed something I didn't expect.

In my bike I had a "Ultegra BB-6500 BC1.37x24 68"
At home I have an "dura ace BB-7700 BC 1.37" and an "105 BB-5500 36x24 70". But the BB-7700 bottom bracket doesn't look like the BB-6500. There is screw thread on the left side. Can I put the BB-7700 in my bike? Both are 1.37x24. But look totally different.

The BB-5500 is not BC1.37x24 but 36x24. So should not fit. But this bottom bracket looks like my old bottom bracket.

36x24 is italian, this is a much bigger tread than 1,37 (34.798mm) So the 7700 must fit.

So I have to turn the left side of the BB-7700 true the right side of the frame before it can turn in the thread of the left side? Hmm, never had a dura ace 1.37 before...
