Shimano XTR is a similar weight, and Dura ace is lighter.
I doubt that the Tioga is mounted on a spider either.

So its no lighter and wont last as long.

If you are sticking to 8sp, then XTR would be better IMO.

Yep i had one of those. The lockring broke very easily, but was easily replaced. The teeth are VERY soft and wore down incredibly quickly. Shifting was very good while it lasted.

I'm using rebulid(made of 2 DA casette) dura ace casette with 12-15-16-17-19-21-23-24-27 - last 5 are Titanium and weight 188g - soo i thint thats better idea
last spider was 21-24-27 but i cut off the 21t cog (21 weight 13g w/o pins)
I'm planing to cut 23 cog too- its no used- soo it'll be even lighter.
