Not sure if this has been discussed in another thread (if so, I can't find it). But is Enve working on a new TT wheelset? Earlier this year, Pogacar was seen riding around on what appears to be a new front wheel, deeper than a 7.8. I've also heard they are working on a new disc wheel. Anyone know anything? Are they hookless?
This pic here appears to show the new front:

Is it really necessary to have so many spokes for such a deep wheel? Not really aero optimized...

You still gotta brake right? Go fewer spokes you need strength to resist the forces under braking... so you need stronger/thicker spokes negating the benefit of fewer spokes in the first place. I'm pretty sure they've done the maths on the engineering side and found the balance.

meh, plenty of wheelsets with shallower rims and less spokes and they're still fine. Roval clx II has 18 spokes in the front and they're fine
