Hello

Which cranks will suit BSA bottom bracket ?

As I understand correctly 30mm not suit? And 29mm will. Also 24mm will surely fit.

P.s. frame specialized shiv (they sell it with Shimano 24mm and GXP SRAM 29mm cranks)

Plenty of companies make “BSA30” bottom brackets that allow you to use 30mm cranks.

I’m running Hollowgram cranks with a Chris King Threadfit30 bottom bracket on my XC bike.

Pretty much everything should fit (with the correct bottom bracket of course). The notable exception being "true" BB30 cranks, which due to their short spindle will only fit 68 mm wide frames with internal bearings. But pretty much no-one makes those anymore…

The only issue with some frames and BSA30 is that the larger axles doesn't leave an awful lot of room for the cables/hoses.

Hollowgram cranks and BSA30 BBs are only going to work on MTBs which use a much longer spindle and wider Q factor. With a road spindle and Q factor there's literally no room for the bearings except inside a BB30 or T47 shell.

Can you please advice lightweight crankset? Ideally with 110bcd

Maybe is it good idea to buy Chinese Lexon: 375g 170mm. Width 92 mm, diameter 28,99 mm ?

The design of these is basically Cybrei, probably comes from the same factory. But because it's sold by Lexon, the qc and such is probably worse.

I bought these recently but haven't installed them yet. Weight is as advertised. Overall finish is good. Clear coat finish on the carbon could probably be a tad better.

If I use these Lexon 28.9mm with BSA BB will be the size of the bearings regular (big) size ? or I'll sacrifice the size bearings?

The bearings are outboard on a BSA BB, not inboard. They're not restricted by the BB shell as to how big they can be.

It's really not a concern, use the Enduro one posted above if you're still worried. I've got several BSA30 bikes and never had any issues and if you hold one cup next to a Shimano BSA one you can see it's bigger.

Please recommend BB for 28.9mm cranks (Enduro pricey, which another better to get?)

If budget is a concern then just get the SRAM one

I got the Wheels Manufacturing BSA DUB BB for my SL8. Came with the right spacers and seems to work really well.

Don't forget that if you are fitting the BB yourself you'll need the right tool to thread it into the frame. You'll need to budget for that too.

I'll second that. I've had the SRAM DUB BSA BB on a wet weather bike for a couple of years and it's still running smoothly.

Thanks all for reply!

To not create new theme, ask here.
On a second bike I have PF86 BB (and run it with Shimano 24mm) If I want change it to 28.9mm cranks which BB should be used for PF86 and 28.9 axle?
