Always love the old Focus Izalco's. The geometry was perfect for me.
Awesome paint job. Really like the decals you did.

Excellent! That frame was ahead of its time weight/ride quality wise. Chapeau! I remember them fondly.

Looks good, i am althought a big fan of izalco max from this generation.
Still happily riding mine, and updating it from time to time.
Only "issue": Handling with my size 52 felt to slow (for my taste, only for my taste!), due to the 71,7° hta, so i moved to an enve 2,0 fork with 50mm fork rake (instead of 43mm with original fork)

Big fan too it's like a vintage bike no aero no cable (brake) integration simple but efficient for a guy like me for the professional i'm not sure....reedplayer wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 10:39 amLooks good, i am althought a big fan of izalco max from this generation.

hmm, imo, later versions, from 2018, do not appear soooo vintage to me, with disc and electronic groupset, it seems not dissimilar from a specialized aethos f.e.
Although your build has a , in my opinion, modern approach.

just to clarify: The red Izalco max shown above is not my Izalco max, it is just an example for a version with "up-to-date" -parts (a handlebar-stem combo would imo not look out of place on this bike), but, as said, i find yours although very contemporary.
