Did you remember the claimed weight?
May be we do screenshots of the weight specs of the old model to compare to the new model then? ;)

I think 7.18lb
3.26kg? Amazing
Ops 😅

Anyway, I'm betting on the release on Monday. Canyon in Koblenz closed early today. Probably preparing everything.

Any more speculation as to when they are announcing/releasing the new one?

Canyon had their staff summer festival on Saturday. That was the reason for the earlier closing.

I don´t get it. It´s Tour de France, the New Aeroad won just yesterday another stage, Football European Championship is over, Olymipc Games start soon.
It will be the perfect week / day to announce it and they announce a Mountanbike Partnerhsip with Le Bron James?

You're not thinking this from the Canyon's perspective. If they have a lot of stock on the old models then it doesn't make sense to release a new one. If they have any stock of the old ones and not much of the new ones ready it doesn't make sense to release a new one. The new Aeroad isn't also that different from the old one. The average Aeroad owner hasn't noticed that the bike on the Tour isn't the same as they have at home. The average Aeroad buyer can't tell that the bike they saw win at Tour isn't the same as the one in the shop right now. They can use the wins whenever they release the new one as marketing, and the wins are working as marketing for the current model.

In the GCN show of yesterday, Dan and Si announced a major reveal of one of their bike partners on Friday... Must be the new Aeroad.

All for the sake of proprietary lock-in.

So pretty much everything the same (componentry-wise) just tweaked frame and handlebar shape. The exapandable handlebar, the quill style stem remains. New seatpost locking mechanism (or old, since it revives the older gen aeroad mechanism instead.).

also: After making seatpost grease deep science with the last generation, now it doesn´t need any of that anymore at all.
