grips- esi once i am settled on my cockpit and don't have to cut them off lol

I don't get along with ESI.
But sqlab 711 r grip size medium works for me. Size M is 79g a pair. It's just slightly heavier than ESI but more durable and have better ergonomic design.
Same drawback about post-installation adjustability though. Once installed and alcohol dried, you can't adjust it anymore.

oh those are neat looking, I'll have to try them out. I thnk a suspension upgrade is in the works. Unfortunately all the fox on my bike is push to unlock so if i want to switch to Rockshox sid SL i need to get a new shock as well

11.5 kg!? I would have expected a bit less.

In 2018, I built up a Lux CF, based on the previous generation frame. It was 9.76 kg (~20.52 lbs) with pedals installed.

I'm so angry to myself why I sold it 2 years ago, it was a really lovely bike. ;(

I think changing the 2.35 wide tires to e.g. Raching Ray 2.25 + Thunder Burt 2.25 could remove ~200-250 grams at least. Ritchey Superlogic grips + some r2bike weight weenie wheelset could reduce the weight even further.

I use Easton road bar tape for custom grips. About 40g worth. You can add a horizontal strip first if you want oval shaped grips and obviously any length can be achieved , right upto levers.

I'm looking at Lux but currently have an 8kg Canyon Exceed with Rockshox RS1 forks. Curious why Lux has to be so heavy.

I've done some research to this topic, regarding the new Lux CFR WC weight and based on my findings, I created a spreadsheet, did some calculations for two possible tuning possibilities, etc. What is quite clear now, the ~9.8 kg and ~10.0 kg stock weights for WC and Team models are realistic:


What was pretty interesting: found two measurements on the Net, with the CP0008 integrated cockpit: 333g and 343g. This is definitely heavier than I thought. Grips are ~110 g (found 1 measurement, taken from a CFR Team) and the 30.9x400mm CP0061 seatpost is 189g. Ergon carbon saddle on the Team version is 200g.

If anyone would be interested, I can also measure most of the parts since my CFR WC will come in the coming days.

SID SL Ultimate (32mm stanchions, RaceDay damper, steerer cut to ~170mm) remote version, without remote lockout + cables (added the lockout + cables separately to the table, based on other's measurents). I'll measure the fork and update the table as soon as I get the bike. (1-2 days)

Just to confirm that, mine is a SID Ultimate SL, 32mm stachnion, 100mm travel.
And... Arrived today!
In full original state, I measured 10.08 kg, with XPedo 8Ti pedals its 10.3 kg. Measured only the rear axle (55 grams), CP0061 seatpost + Selle Italia Kit Carbonio SLR is 326g together (so pretty light). I'll remove the tires and change them to Racing Ray+Thunder Burt, convert it to tubeless - however, Canyon forgot to send me the tubeless valves so I need to buy two... I'll measure the Ikon 2.35 tires, curious to the weights.


It was surprising to me, Acros headset's 'IPU' was set correctly but tigthened in a position where the headset was too loose. And took me some time to figure out, how can I adjust it.

Some additional information which might be useful for remove some weight. Measured the OEM Maxxis Ikon tires (2.35 TR EXO 3C both): 832 and 836 grams. Pretty heavy, therefore changing them to e.g. Continental X-King/Race King combo or to Schwalbe Racing Ray+Racing Ralph (or Thunder Burt) will definitely save at least 300 grams overall. Like in my case, I went for RaRay+TBurt 2.25 snakeskins.
Also changed the Ergon grips to Ritchey Superlogics, bike is 9.8 kg now with pedals and bottle cage.

A few updates: Racing Ray 2.25 is 677g and Thunder Burt 2.25 650g. I'm going to change them to a spare set of Race King 2.2 ProTections (593g + 594g). Canyon's CP00008 integrated cockpit was surprisingly heavy: 350g. Changed it already to Berg 760mm handlebar (108g) and PRC stem (83g). But I added a Quarq DZero spider (+122g). Current weight with pedals + bottle cage is 9.7 kg, however changing the tires to Race Kings will save 140g.

Before the race season I think I'll change the DT Swiss XRC1200 wheelset to a lighter one (somewhere about ~1550g maybe, not measured it yet). Would be good to build a superlight set (Berd spokes+Extralite hubs+Duke SLS4 rims) but I used it on my favourite trails so I think I'll go for a 'heavier' set in the 1200-1250g range instead, which has minimum 100kg weight limit (or even more, 110 kg). (I'm 75kg 'fat' now but my race weight is ~71kg for my 184cm height - so a superlight wheelset with 90kg weight limit might be a bit weak). (?)
