Hello

Does anyone know when or if SRM will release their new computer? I looked online and there is no news.

Just out of curiosity, where did you read that there could be a new PC on the way?

Other than upgrading the PC8's GPS chip so that it actually works and fixes on satellites, I don't know what could be improved in a new version. For straight up power metric monitoring, it does a pretty good job as it is.

I have had two PC8's and neither one would lock onto a GPS signal within five minutes of trying. OTOH, my wife's cheapy Garmin running watch finds a GPS signal in about 3 seconds in my front yard.

That said, it's not a problem for me since I don't care about GPS as I don't do Strava and I live in a very small place with no need for mapping or route tracking. For everything I want the PC8 is perfect.

starting the ride needs atleast 5min for finding the gps signal,

gps accuracy is really bad, every cheap phone is more accurate.
When riding on my home trails the pc8 gets like 2/10 strava segments....
