considering a TCR. anyone know what's the widest tire and rim i can fit on the 2018/2019 TCR ADVANCED SL 0?
i'm running tubular wheelset, so wanted to make sure i have plenty of clearance. thanks~

sharing my experience on reynolds attack wheels
rear GP4 ii 28mm - lots of clearance
front GP4 ii 28mm - barely any, it'll rub if there's mud/dirt on the tire

Same here rear is 28 max for most tyres except conti, front 25 where conti will cause damage when gravel is on them.
Bike imho rides best with good 25 tyres (at the moment corsa graphene is on the reynols wheels)

There is already thread about that:

and some more pictures of 28mm tyres on TCR:

Bear in mind that Continental Grand Prix 4000 S II are 30+mm tyres... So some 28 tyres from other manufacturers would have bigger clearance...

I would mount 29mm max effective width tires only on my SL Disc. 28c GP4000S2 was too big and too close to the chain stay. Didn't bother to try the front fork.

28mm Conti 5000 on SLR1 wheels (17mm) fit OK front & back

The 5000 are true 28mm tires, they replaced an old set of Conti 4000 iiS - 25mm with a real size of 27.5 mm mounted on the same wheels

Thanks for posting those pics, really helpful! Guess it's best to go with GP5000 for 28mm since it runs more true to its size.

Rich guess depends on the tire I'm running Vittoria Corsa 28mm and plenty of room on my 2018
- 2018 Colnago V2-R TNMR - Campagnolo SR EPS - Lightweight Gen III - P2Max
- 2017 Colnago Concept CHDB - Campagnolo SR EPS - Bora One 50 - Deda Superzero - Stages
- 2015 Cipollini RB800 - Campagnolo Athena EPS - Bora One 35 - P2Max
