I just put a new set of 28mm GP5000's on and they weighed 244g each. I weighed one with the strap cut and another with the stap on so it might be 243g without it.

Does anyone know shelf life of tires (GP5Ks in this case)? I see a large amount of 2023 made tires sold at ~10 Euro below typical store prices, is there a reason to be wary here? Just a store clearing old stock?

99% sure that should not be an issue. I reckon slight cracking would maybe appear at about 4 years of age. It all depends on how they have been stored or what exposure to excessive heat or cold. I have had a few different sets of tyres that have had cracking brought on by cold/frosty weather.

The 5000's on my bike are over 2 years old & appear perfectly fine (UK climate).

It all depends on how they have been stored or what exposure to excessive heat or cold.

I've always ridden Conti tires, expecially the 4000s and now 5000s. With my new bike (Atheos Pro), that has tubless ready wheels, the tires that came on it are extremely difficult to take off (and put on). Will the standard GP 5000 (non tubless) ease this effort, or is it the tubless ready rim that defines the difficulty?

Clincher version will go on much easier. TL tires have tight, thick bead.
