Was set on the Specialized Evade, but with my 59cm head the M fitted nicely apart from being 3-5mm too short front to back. Then the large looked like an upturned boat. Looking to retire my ancient Giro Prolight large which is comfy but a bit wide.

Any suggestions?

Try Lazer, Giro/Bell or Kask. My head is around 58.5cm and I find some brands’ mediums binding on my forehead. The ones I mentioned fit nicely.

I have the same size head and find that Lazer fits very well. No excess room in size M minimizing the mushroom effect.

Im a 59cm and I fit into a Kask medium (Protone/Valegro).
It depends more on the head shape.

I agree, I'm around 58cm~ and my head shape is slightly more on the rounder side. Kask Helmets fits me like a glove, Giro/Spesh and others I've tried pinches on the side and too long on front and back. Give different brands a try!

Had same problem. Tried Giro, Bell and a few others
Ended up with POC Octal as there the M goes up to 60cm

Kask seem to fit well on many different head shapes.
