"Of course I would have been disappointed if I had of came away without a win"

is that english? :noidea:

Translation(s) - "Of course I would have been disappointed if I had come away without a win" or "Of course I would have been disappointed if I hadn't come away with a win"

It's also a direct quote, so that's just how Matty speaks...

Meanwhile, in actual cycling news...

take home message, even a sick Simon Gerrans would be putting out frightening power numbers!

Fantastic analysis once again Nick!

So can we officially write off Andy Schleck from being competitive this year? He DnF'd the Tour Down Under after he just about finish dead last.

Because Cavendish really soft peddaled during the TDU when he was there and look at the crap season he had in 2011.
Did he even win anything?

Yeah, Schleck should hang up the wheels right now.

Tinea,
It was a good series of articles, thanks!
Luckily or knowingly Pauwels was a good choice, I mean a top20 finisher, not an also ran.

Talking about Cav, I'm not sure if I'm interpreting this article correctly (http://www.cyclingnews.com/tour-de-san- ... -7/results) but it seems he's had another mechanical issue on his new group.

We talked about this earlier in the threads, you will see more and more of these from other companies.

Seen as all the infrastructure is in place for all the major tours, it would be great to see women's races. Just start them 15 min after the men, and the spectators get a double race to watch. All yo unneeded is a few more police and convoy vehicles. All the roads are already closed, routes marked, etc. VIP tents, food, spectator areas and big crowds are already in place.
