I just recently picked up my TCR and have about 200 miles on it so far. As soon as I heard Giant was bringing back the Alloy TCR I knew I wanted one. Initial ride reviews, As I expected the bike is very stiff. It climbs better than my 2012 Tarmac SL4 I had before this. Handling is smooth and predictable like all Giants I have ridden but the surprising thing is that is extremely comfortable. If I couldn't see the welds I wouldn't believe it is aluminum! Unfortunately it does not come as a frame set yet so I bought the Ultegra version, stripped it down and rebuilt it with a Red kit I had. It weighs in a 15 pounds with cages and pedals and garmin sensor. It is a size Large which for Giant is about a 58cm frame. I am 6' 2". Please comment/critique!

Giant's don't get the love they deserve. I'm curious about the weights of the new frames. The '08 aluminum TCRs were 1400gms+. That's uncomfortably close to Steel territory.

I stupidly did not weigh the frame when I had it stripped down but after the winter I'll be putting new cables on so I will strip it down again and weigh everything.

According to the Giant testing document they published a size medium should weigh 1,050 grams with the fork weighing 388 grams. Curious how close it came. Nice looking bike.

I have an older Giant TCR Zero Once frame from 2001 which was their lightest Aluminum frame that I know of and that one is 1076g with a touch of paint and anodized. There is no way any of their new aluminum frames come in at 1050 with paint. I had mine stripped and repainted in black and it comes in at 1072g.

We'll have to wait and see then! That is very light though what size was your frame?
