Hi guys, I'm getting my frame (custom geometry) next week and like to seek opinions on the build list.

Frame: Elite Joule Pro (White with Chrome Decals)
Fork: Enve 1.0
Headset: Chris King
Seatpost, Stem and Handlebar: Enve
Saddle: Dash Stage.9
Groupset: Campagnolo Super Record (Yet to purchase)
Pedals: DA 9000
Wheelset: Zipp 101s (Currently with Shimano/SRAM freehub)

Seems to me a pretty messy combination as to mix Enve components with Zipp Wheels and Campy with DA pedals. The initial plan was to go DA9000, however the 170mm crank is not available. In fact the only group set available currently in my country with 170mm crank arm is Campy. The other option is DA7900 which I am not favoring. This bike is supposed to stay with me for a long time, hence I will like the components to be lasting. Any comments?

Any better pictures, preferably some from the side so we can see the whole bike?

that is custom?? build is nice, but aesthetically it doesn't work at all for me. no drop, very long stem, spacer tower. the list goes on.

Drop the tail light... get some new bottle cages...

And even though the Dash saddle is very expensive (and probably pretty comfy) it really turns me off visually... can't help it.

I take it the owner has some sort of back problem, given the long head tube, spacer tower and short tup tube. Not aesthetically pleasing but if it does the job for him on a long ride, who's to complain? We're not all giants with ape-like long arms who run huge saddle-to-handlebar drops because it looks wannabee pro.
And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.

im with you. Sure it doesnt look pro, but one can agree that the build list is almost perfect! I say almost, because it would be better on my bike. Rather jelly of the build.

Can you tell us more about the builder and why you chose to go with them?

Bike fitting was the core business of the shop and in fact they are the only fitters of the Elite Bicycles system out of US. Goal of the fit was for century, wkend rides and no races, hence the non-pro looks of the bicycle.

Anyway, the spacer tower will not be there in couple of months time as it is meant for me get back into cycling after being off for a couple of months. The plan was for 1cm of spacer above and below the stem.

I was trying to give it a classic look hence opting to go with those cages. I will put on the carbon cages now to see how it works out. I have 2 spare arundel carbon cages. The lights are staying cos it is the complete look of the bicycle. I ride with them, as my rides are mainly early in the morning.

Thanks for all the feedback.

previous bottle cages where more beautiful, these ones are too loaded with graphics. White bar tape may go nicely with new white saddle.
Happy Trails !!!
