Has anyone heard when these pedals might actually hit the shelves?
Can't find anything yet......

Any update on these?

My carbon Dura-Ace pedals suck...might have to go back to the old RXS's...

Hi,

No, they are not the same.

Definitely have my eye on these pedals. So the cleat isn't the same as the iclics? Definitely a step in the right direction! The RXS cleats were the best i've ever used. Easy to walk in (or run/hike in...i'd used them off road!), and lasts a full season. Surely someone has tried a set? Looking at you, EU :)

It is the same cleat.

Check these sites and you'll see replacement cleats are the same for the I-Clic and Xpresso:
http://www.bti-usa.com/public/category/PD/PDCL/TS/TS300?page=1
http://www.xxcycle.com/iclic-cleat,,en.php
http://www.probikekit.com/uk/time-i-clic-replacement-pedal-cleats.html

You can also see in the following link that they're using an I-Clic cleat:
http://www.bikerumor.com/2012/09/09/time-hopped-up-on-new-xpresso-road-pedals-prototype-disc-brake-fluidity-road-bike-more/

I'd certainly like to see proof that it's not using the I-Clic cleat, as all signs point to "yes".

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion caused: the cleats are indeed I-CLIC2.

I just don't get how the performance of these new Times will perform any better or an improvement from the iclics. But they do look cool.

Hi,

- larger platform (very important this)

- lighter (ww)

- redesigned carbon leaf spring

- changeable metal platform

and probably another thing or two I forget....

Can you address the redesign of the carbon leaf spring, and how that will affect the functioning and performance of the pedal/system? Does the redesign affect the propensity for false clip-ins?

Hi,

Unfortunately I was just summing up what I had remembered from reading this:

http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/new-time-pedals-framesets-and-bikes-eurobike-2012-35139/

which is probably what you had read as well..... :?:

Technical info is become scarcer and scarcer by the year on stuff like this, I'm afraid. Wonder why that would be.... :P

Ciao, ;)
