I think I am going to go with the Zipp SL bars. It's funny how this bike is essentially going to be the Evo Ultimate. The only difference will be my wheels, cassette, chain, seatpost and stem. Cannondale knows how to spec nice parts.

Now that I have almost every part I have created a build list with exact weights. The components that I do not have yet are the handlebars and saddle. I gave them each a 10g overestimate from the manufacturers' claim. I was not able to weigh the headset bearings before I installed it so unfortunately I don't have those numbers included. Does anyone have an estimate or actual for these? I also haven't run any cables so I don't know the weight of any housing that I'll use. I obviously don't have weights for things like tubular glue or grease so I'll again have to estimate there. Off hand does 100g sound like a fair estimate for headset bearings, housing, glue and grease?

The bars, Zipp SL 46cm, have arrived and I can finally get a few more components mounted to the bike. Still waiting on the crank to arrive, unfortunately it may be a few more weeks.

Less than 800 gr for sure. Very good weight for the size

Check my last post on the previous page. I'm not going to strip it just yet. I'm not worried about voiding the warranty though, I bought this to have fun with it and if that means taking off the paint in the future so be it.

I say proceed with the carbolift

Carbolift just does not work. Especially on white paint.

I also had problems with Carbolift. Even following the instructions to the letter I found that at most it softened up the paint, with white paint being mostly unaffected.

If you do use Carbolift then you'll still have to do a fair bit of sanding to strip it completely. My advice is to not bother with it in the first place and stick to traditional stripping methods if you must remove the paint.

This thread documents the poor results of Carbolift on white paint. http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=98089&hilit=303

After almost 3 months the Hollowgram cranks are here! I almost don't care about the wait because they weigh considerably less that what I was expecting based on the set on my CAAD 10.

Nice build taking place,
SISL cranks look awesome!

I notice your Dorico Ltd has a "dark" stripe.
I have seen them floating around, but the 3T website mostly has them with a light silver stripe.
Do you know if this dark stripe is new for 2012 or something?

From a few feet away can you see the stripe or does the post look black?

Thanks for any info!

Not sure if this stripe is a 2012 color. The 3T website still shows the lighter silver stripe. Maybe something to check out with your LBS. From a few feet away it does appear to be all black though. You have to really pay specific attention to the seatpost to see that it has the dark stripe on it. Looking at the bike as a whole, you'd never notice it.
