Have been lurking on here for some time watching and learning and all the while slowly but surely updating my steed to what you see below.
Also as there are simply not enough Lemond bikes on here i felt i should stand up for them a little.
Its a one for all bike and used for everything, century rides, chain ganging, all manner of training in all kinds of weathers, even occasional trips to the pub...
So the components choice was based upon a desire to be as light as possible, but tempered with the knowledge that the riding i do and the local roads arent really friendly to superlight components ( nor is my wallet as it goes ).
Hence the wheelset is clincher, the fork bars and stem are light enought - but at the same time pretty solid, standard drive train etc.
Overall weight currently is 7.3kg, including pedals and Garmin - not really a weenie but with a 1.6kg frame and a need for robustness / reliability its really not too bad in my opinion.

Bars - Deda Electa
Seatpost - Use Alien Carbon Cyclops
Saddle - Sella Italia Kit Carbonio SLR
Wheelset - Campagnolo Shamal Ultra
Tyres - Pro Race 3
Groupset - SRAM Red
Pedals - Look Keo Carbon
Cages - Lifeline Titanium

It may not be to everyones taste but i love it, its a fairly classic frame which i feel still looks contempory enough. Its also understated in a good way. The frame could be lighter but i will forgive it as its such a good ride. I have an extra thick flame suit on for daring to use Campag wheels with a non Campag drive train but i love the way they ride and am very happy with them so they're staying!

I dare say its not finished yet, doubt it ever will be as its turning into an addiction.

If I saw you ride that bike to a bar I was at I would buy you drinks until you were blammo and then ride off with your bike!!! :beerchug: Hahaha, that is too nice to lock up, but I do love the durability and ride of Titanium bikes. Congrats on a solid build and no worries with the Campy wheels they have better hubs anyways.

A very nice representative of the gray metal and a good component spec.

Cheers guys, had to add it to the Show your Ti bikes as well - so many of the rides in there were a source of inspiration as i put this together.

Thanks to the wonders of the web i've found a picture of how it looked when i collected it, it was about 19lb without pedals IIRC. I'm sure that for the money i could have bought something lighter "off the peg".
Liked the look of it then - although in fairness, web research aside, i didn't really know what i was looking at as it was my first road bike - however i definitely prefer it now!

Lovely bike and well done on the upgrades and final weight.

What seat tube angle do they come with? Maybe my eyes are a little fuzzy, but it looks quite laid back?

Yep the original seat post was somewhat laid back, just had a look at it and cant see an angle shown, its branded Lemond but no indicator of the original manufacturer, suspect its Bontrager - was however a comfy way to eat the miles. What i can confirm tho is that the weight was a pretty lardy 215g compared to the Use Carbons 136g.

New wheels courtesy of Derek at Wheelsmith - Gigantex 50mm carbon clinchers with Novatech superlight hubs, sapim spokes, blue nipples. ( image quality courtesy of Blackberry... )
Been running them for about 600 miles now and am very pleased, very little flex ( i weigh 75kg ), hubs are freeing up nicely and they brake better than expected too.

The wheels came in at about 1400g, really happy with that as its a decent weight for a 50mm clincher.

The original pics with the Shamals were nice, but I like the higher profile rims on the "new" version.
