I am weight weenish but no where near the level of some of you guys here but alas i enjoy reading and getting inspired.
Recently i opted to build a new bike and decided to get the frame i have always being thinking of. The slr01 team machine. I have only gone for a spin around the block and have found it insanely smooth riding. I hope to do small mods in the future that are a little more weight weeniesque and bring down the weight.
Advice on how to lower weight and still make it completely functional is also welcome

I do have a few things on my mind for future small mods.
1. Powercordz brake system
2. Fork compressor and top cap. Either i run the extralite compressor and tune top cap or i will go directly to the schlmoke ahead cap.
3. Speedplay TI spindle
4. Skewers – Still undecided on what to go for as there is good and bad reviews to almost every skewer out there. Some people says they clamp without any issues, some people say they slip.

What he said, kcnc skewers work great and are light. I've been using a set for 2+ years, through all sorts of weather, washes, etc., still work fine.
got something similar now and it really rocks! part 2 of a love story that began last spring;-)
maybe the force/attack combination is better because tire clearance with bmc forks is a bit tight, and depending on the weather(wet roads, sand)you may start to scratch your fork and cut your tire. maybe just check with the rear tire mounted on the front wheel to see if it clears, then you're good to go with the 23 mm gp4000s...
I think i will go with the attack/force combo. I have being happy with them so far.
In regards to skewers i was looking at either c-4 or kcnc or some of those tune copies on ebay. Will post pics as i update
