Yeti ASR-Carbon *** Update - now 18.01 lbs ***
Moderators: maxim809, MrCurrieinahurry, Moderator Team
My new build. Came in at 19.3lbs (8.76kg) on my relatively accurate (within 10-20g) hanging digital scale. I expect to have it below 18.5lbs (8.4kg) pretty soon. It could then be below 18lbs (8.1kg) with the Maxxis Maxxlite 310 tires I have on my commuter bike.
I have a set of Claviculas that I want to use on the bike, but the BB shell is made for Shimano specific pressed in bearings, and has an inside diameter of 41mm, not 42mm like BB30. The Claviculas have a spindle diameter of 30mm, and I cannot find (so far) bearings that have 30mm ID and 41mm OD, with a flange since the BB shell has no grove for a C ring to stop the bearings from going too far into the frame.
The seat clamp assembly slides over the seat mast (ISP) and is made of carbon and aluminum, but weighs 200g. I will tune it to use Thomson, AX Lightness or KCNC clamping parts, and expect to get the weight there down to 125g. Maybe I'll send one to Samu, and get him to make me a custom seat. He should be able to do the whole assembly at 160-180g.
I might also try a DTSwiss XR Carbon rear shock.
I think I covered it all:
2008(?) ASR-Carbon Medium frame w/RP23 shock 2160g (4 1/4 lbs? More like 4 3/4 lbs)
Shimano crank bearings/bearing holders/plastic spacers/plastic center cover (included in frame above)
2007 Lefty Speed Carbon SL shock 1250g
Custom made CF/Al 1 1/8 to Lefty steerer adapter 125g

Lovely, simply lovely. This, or the Mojo for me are the best looking full suspension frames available at the moment.

Really impressive. Much great solutions.
How thick spacer do you use between the chainrings?

3.25mm, plus the Octaramp 30t has a built in spacer. I don't know for sure what the total thickness is. I am still experimenting. I first had 2.75mm plus the 30t, but that was not enough. I'll find out tomorrow if the new thickness is correct.
do you have a link to the Alligator shifter housings? I'd like some dark blue housing, Nokon only do baby blue.
Don't see many non Cannondale bike with a lefty. Really cool fork.

You must put a 1.5 kilos weight in the right side of your handlebar to handle the bike correctly, but it´s a nice bike

I kept the bike dirty for the pictures, just so no one would accuse me of having a "boutique" bike. I ride this thing. I actually fractured the CF of the left rear seatstay a month ago. I'm not sure how it happened, but Yeti replaced it under warranty. I now have 2 spare seatclamp assemblies so I'll be making my custom lightweight seatclamp soon. I hope to get it down from 195 to about 110g. I will also be contacting KoolStop once again to push for the alloy backed R1 organic brake pads.
I should throw the pair of Maxxlite 285s I just got onto the bike for the true Weight Weenie weigh in. It would drop the bike down to 17.75 lbs  .

Wow, that is a nice bike! keep up the good work and the tuning!
If you want to see 'meh' content of me and my bike you can follow my life in pictures here!'Tape was made to wrap your GF's gifts, NOT hold a freakin tire on.'
Sweet bike. Was 2008 the last year Yeti offered the all black color scheme? How does the bike handle in the rougher / more technical British Colombia terrain?

I love the handling. I can't say that the riding I do here is any different than the riding I did back east. About the only difference is the longer climbs and the repeated log crossings that I come across. The bike really suits my riding style. It'll cruise along with me when I'm wanting to take it easy, and when I turn up the heat, it'll keep up with me just fine. I rode an Anthem Advanced before this, and it was always a little twitchy because of the steep headtube, but at the time that suited me just fine.
The Yeti site still shows carbon black as one of the colour options, and if you scroll the pictures, it'll come up.
Thanks for all the props guys.

Very nice bike.
I like to keep an eye on what you are doing with your Yeti as you seem to be a couple of steps in front of me with my bike (see photo).
How have you found the D T rear shock, is it as good as the stock RP 23?
Hope you can find a way to fit the Claviculas cos that is 1 upgrade i will defiantly be putting on mine if poss, had a set on some of my road bikes & was super impressed with them, expensive but worth it.
