English Road Disc Build - 6.86kg

Been about two years now that I've had this and it's been all over the world with me and has been an absolute dream. It's been up Letras, Stelvio, Mortirolo, and the Gavia just to name a few. Over the past years I've done some changes here and there but recently I've been on a quest to see just how light I can get this thing. I plan on doing the Zoncolan in July along with a handful of the other big Dolomite climbs and also the new Alto el Sifon in Colombia in January.

I've been kind of stuck around 6.8kg and have some new LightBicycle sub-1000g wheels on the way but is there anything else I am missing here? I run 165 cranks so the THM cranks arent really an option. The Topeak R10 cages were just a touch too close together due to their lower mounting points so I went with the G12 option, though admittedly I would have gotten the updated R10 if I could find them. I've been a big fan of teh Shimano pedals but I know some weight could be saved there, just not thrilled about having to set up all my shoes with new cleat positions, ha.

You're pertty maxxed out component wise honestly...

Galfer rotors, 8g each
Aethos fork, 100g?
Ti brake bolts, ~8g total or so
Headset, 30g? Looks like a 34/44 HT

Easy way to fit some Time Xpro pedals, but why don't you want to ?. The way to place the cleats is quit easy also. Just mark the two lines who are in the middle of the cleat, and place your Time cleats with these marks on the same place ( I did the same with my Look pedals ) and never looked back. My lower spec Time Xpresso 7 came in at 98 grams/ pedal , and on my other bike I have some Xpro 15 ... they are 87 gram/ pedal.

I'll be honest, its most just laziness and not wanting to cleats on 6 pairs of shoes and pedal systems on 4 bikes.

Well some minor tweaks as I try to get this thing as light as possible and I think this is basically that. I could get really close to 14# with pedals, cages, and garmin/varia mounts if I swapped to a THM crank but thats not really something worthwhile IMO.

Hard to tell from the pictures what tubes you are using, but have you considered TPU tubes? It's an easy and affordable way to lose some weight without losing performance imo.

These are set up tubeless. But yeah could save a few grams but that's also a trade off that im okay with.
