Kind of indifferent on this since most riders will want at least 35cm at the drops and nothing prohibits a, say, 32cm bar at the hoods with flared and bladed drops that aren’t even taped.
Also will a rider like Kaia Schmid be eligible for a morphological exception because she’s around 4’9”?
No impact, but I think it's good that the UCI weighed in on the topic. With the growing realization of the watts that can be saved, it was only a matter of time until some really weird stuff showed up.
And re Kaia Schmid, getting a fit must be a nightmare, exception or not. Teniel Campbell at the other end of the spectrum will qualify for exemption. Can't help but grin when I see her head sticking up above the peloton like a giraffe.

Terrible news -- newly retired Davide Rebellin was killed in a collision with a hit and run truck in his native Italy.
So sorry to read this!
I actually saw a pic of him on social media with dates but didnt think anything just thought it was his retiring from racing date etc.
RIP it is sad but true it happens too often to many pro's and amateurs alike.
Even Nicky Hayden a Moto GP great was taken the same way

He wasn't arrested because he's back in Germany and the only way he could be arrested is for him to come back to Italy.
The scary part is that he stopped to check Rebellin and drove away to finish his deliveries before driving back to Germany.
On italian public radio yesterday evening an expert explained that as for german laws there isn't any "traffic/driving homicide" but only "lack of assistence".

Yesterday evening, BnB team have been notified they are freed from their obligations with the team.
Sad ending for both male and female projects and quite a terrible late notice for the squads.

Or Italy could issue a warrant by a prosecutor for violation of Italian law, and request extradition. Or don't they treat vehicular homocides as homocide cases?

The question is: will MVDP be at the start ? Looked like a tiny slip from the race footage, but if you read the gossip, he'll need some more time ....
