Is it just me, or is the finish on this a bit poor/rough? Or the photo doesn't do it justice?

I was contemplating the tought of getting one of these for my SL7 and saving a bit of weight, but for the price I would expect a better finish.

If you mean the junction A fixture, then no, it looks rough to me too. Most likely this is a 3D printed part, given the low production volume this absolutely makes sense. I wouldn't mind, weight trumps the looks for me, but not everyone is like that.

I don't remember if it was FB or IG, but I asked why the Evo seatpost would include a junction box mount, when the Evo's down tube already has this, and they replied that the photo with the junction mount was merely a prototype, so it's not clear to me if the final version will include the mount. I also can't think of a reason why anyone would want the junction box mount on their Evo seatpost.

I've asked them for a Factor One seat post. They said it will not produce it now but probably in the future. My factor seat post weights more than 200 grams and it's a small size frame!

You're missing the point. The new Darimo Supersix Evo seatpost is designed for a specific frame - the current version of the Supersix Evo. And that frame already has a mounting point for the junction box in the down tube. So it makese no sense to include a junction box mounting point in the seatpost.
