Topstone Carbon owners... Is it possible to run a Shimano 105 2x crank on these frames? I have one with a Stages PM and am looking at a Topstone carbon, but can't find any definitive info.

Is it the carbon or alloy frame?

Just want to post so others know. On the carbon frame it is not possible to run a Shimano 2x crank. I tried.

Can anyone tell me if there's a Allen key rear axle that will fit the alloy topstone? I bought one from a synapse I think, which is the same spec, but the conical washer is thicker, so the axle didn't go to the end of the threads and I sent it back.

I just removed the handles from mine (actually my GF's) and keep one handle with the tools. So not allen wrench - but a lot less bulky and ugly than stock

Hello guys...

My 2019 Sora Topstone needs new tyres...

I am thinking on fitting the WTB Byway road plus 700x44c - not sure if these will fit properly as every official info I find says it clears up to 42...

Anyone tried wider then 700x42?

One more - also gonna change the brakes for Juin Tech but am still debating if F1 are good enough or the GT-F are worth the extra cost? Any thoughts, experience?

Cheers, A.

I've got 700x43 gravelling SK and there is plenty of clearance (as in multiple millimetres). I've also got wtb resolutes at 700x42, and there is even more clearance (maybe 1mm :-) ). I can't imagine 700x44 will be a problem, but haven't tried it

Thanks for the info...

How are the Gravelking SK, also on my watch list especially when things get a bit muddy - any grip?

Gravelkings are also available in 50mm - would those fit? 😁

Cheers, A.

I wouldn't buy the gravelling SK - they are useless in the mud. Clog up immediately and turn into a slick. I actually rode with 33mm CX tyres the other day which was much better in the mud than either fat tyre option above, although I can't tell if it was the tread or width that made the most difference
