Does anybody know if 2019 S5 Disc is still using the standard Cervelo Bbright?
I just purchased a Kforce Light BB386 crank and apprently my LBS is having hard time fitting the crank.
I believe they are using the wheels MFG bottom bracket.

I'm happily using a SLK light BB386 on my 2017 S3 so not sure what the issues are.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The BB that my LBS is using is https://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/b ... black.html.
Do you guys see any issues?

Your LBS should be able to get that one to work (needs a spacer on drive side), but this one would be a lot simpler: https://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/b ... black.html

What exactly are they having an issue with?

I'm not exactly sure. I will visit them on the 26th.
They were mostly concerned about not having enough clearance between the chain and the frame. Maybe they didn't put enough spacers?

That doesn't make any sense.

That’s the wrong bb - you need the bb for BBright to fit the frame.

As for clearance, the BBright specs have the non-drive side bearing flush with frame. Not sure you can fit a BB386 crank on a Cervelo without having fitment and chainline issues.

Actually this BB will work with 11 mm DS spacer. But the better option is https://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/b ... black.html. Also one offtopic note: DUB cranks have shorter bearing plates and definitely requires outboard DS bearings.

Is there a specific model or brand for 11mm DS spacer? Could you give me a link on where I can purchase one?

Thank s!

You'll need this https://wheelsmfg.com/products/bottom-b ... pacer.html, plus a 1mm spacer that came with the BB

But the question is why would you want to use a spacer just to make a crank fit? Wouldn’t the 11mm spacer cause a change in Q-factor and chainline issues?

Nope. All "386EVO, BBRight, OSBB, BB30" is just marketing crap. All that matters are: spindle length and diameter, BB shell dimensions. You can't change spindle length. Right? BBRight is just PressFit 30 (or PF46, PF30 - yep, marketing crap) with additional 11 mm at NDS. So all that you need is 11 mm on DS and a few thin spacers to balance L/R Q-factor. But as I said from engineering sight outboard bearing on DS is better solution because eliminates 11 mm spacer.

sounds good. If I do buy https://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/b ... black.html Is there any additional spacers I require?

Thank You

I think that is the best way to go. Nope, no additional spacers are required
