I like the heel retention things- I have them adjusted fairly tightly (narrow low volume feet and very narrow ankles). Its one of the reasons that I like Sidi's.

Looks like the wire without the tribal tatt looking lines. I like it.

Looks like they’ve ditched the heal retention. Should result in the shoe being a fair bit light than the wire/shot

Looks good but I can't get over a high end shoe with Velcro anywhere.

I don't like the velcro either. Just adds weight for no reason. In general I am not that convinced by their new shoes and I am a Sidi fan. I would expect an updated, easier to use tecno rotor.

Why always..

The Shot doesn’t use it, the Wire doesn’t use it....

I agree that Velcro is a crap solution, but it is used as a closure mechanism that doesn’t add much weight..... I think this anniversary model
Is trying to be light.....maybe a new direction for Sidi?

I don't mind velcro, but I don't get why so many shoe companies add a strap of any kind in this tertiary position. Most of the time you could just cut the thing off and not notice a bit of difference in fit or security :noidea:

What is the name of new model?
I don't mind the missing heel retantion system as I removed it from both of my Sidi's :)

Not a fan of a dial down the centre of the foot.
