emmmm...
IMG_35651.jpg
This looks promising if it’s US$600, probably £600 by the time it gets to me.
Unknown PM is a concern to me though.
With Praxis rings and bolts looking at 560g thereabouts so 160g saving, pretty impressive for double sided power.
We are testing this PM, and make sure it is accurate and stable before release the crankset...

For single side i have a sram red bb30 w stages carbon nds. W bolts spacers and 150g q rings 172.5 arms and 130bcd it is 559g. In a compact w extralite rings it could be under 500g
This could be the winner thanks NiFTY. My Praxis rings are 134g so with those and 110bcd 170mm cranks could be looking at 525g ish? Solid saving of 190-200g for around £700.

Stages reliability is a bit of a worry, no?
I have 3. And with the update the cracking battery door issue is resolved ( all mine were updated for free outside warranty). If you know your balance is close to 50/50 then its a great option. I had a quarq but sold it as it had temp compensation issues even w the 10k temp compensation update.

I have a gen1, gen2 and a gen3.

Gen1 seals replaced a very long time ago.. no issue. Gen2 was/is on my gravel rain bike.. no problem. I'm changing cranks on my gravel bike and it's upgrading to g3

4iiii have an option for a factory install on Red cranks, anyone have feedback on that? Have to deal with shipping across the Atlantic twice but would come out at a similar cost to Stages

If a few happy and unhappy experience mean anything, well then i'll counter balance.
My only single Gen2 unit died in rain. Stages replace me a new one after my bike shop ship my dead unit to them, i sold the replacement unit as new, warranty replaced. Because i don't trust their seal after they promise Gen2 already solved water seal issue but my unit still die in rain anyway.

Okay so I got Red Bb30 DS crank 177g, Stages NDS 169g and axle 79g, BOR compact rings 131g and KCNC bolts 5g for an all in weight of 561g.

I guess Extralite rings would take 30g off that.

So 160g saved at about £5 per gram. Hmmm.
