Hey guys.. I just recently found out that my Diverge can fit 650's. I'm thinking about trying to pick up an inexpensive (not carbon) set of 650b wheels to use for gnarly days. I've identified two sets.

1. The Praxis AL24 gravel wheels. They're 24mm internal width and they come with DT350 hubs. $599 retail

2. Easton EA70AX.. Also 24mm nternal width. Come with Easton's X5CL hub. $500 retail

I feel like Easton has been in the game longer and they put together a decent product, but I like the fact that the Praxis wheels have a DT350 hub. I've used PraxisWorks bb conversions and I've always been satisfied. Is there anything else I should be looking at? Anything from DTSwiss directly?

Are you after hooked or hookless rims and 12mm axles f/r or 15/12 or QR? Disc type, 6-bolt or CL? What wheelset do you have today?

Cervélo Áspero - 8.28kg
Trek Madone SLR Rim - 7.73kg

I'm not sure I'm clear on the difference between hooked or hookless and the difference it makes.

axles are 12x100 front and 12x142 rear. I'd prefer CL. Currently running Yeoleo SAT C50 Pro 50x25mm carbon wheels with DT240 hubs.

Since you’re currently running DT hubs, I suggest going with the same so swapping over between sets is simplified. In that regard, I don’t have any experience with DT wheelsets and can’t suggest any one way or another.

I saw those... Those are definitely cheaper, but it looks like this is a more comparable option with the 350 hub.

The DT Swiss GR 1600 are definitely the best value for the money IMHO.
The 350 have also the ratchet system which is very reliable and easy to service.
And they can be upgraded to 36T and 54T.

Side question: I have a set of wheels with DT Swiss 350 hubs but they look quite different than the ones I see in their pre-built wheelsets (mine are black with white lettering). Are the the difference just aesthetic? Asking because I'm looking to get a second wheelset with the same hubs so that when switching I don't need to adjust brakes and/or the derailiuer.
