Not in love with that black/blue pattern colorway.

Any chance of the Expert weighing less out of the box than the Pro?Cdavies102 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 11:07 amSpecialized Tarmac Expert gets Ultegra Di2 for 2020...
Doesn't seem to leave much to differentiate between Expert and Pro levels now? Just Roval C38 instead of CL50?
pretty sure the CL50s are lighter than the C38s aren't they?Shrike wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 11:43 amAny chance of the Expert weighing less out of the box than the Pro?Cdavies102 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 11:07 amSpecialized Tarmac Expert gets Ultegra Di2 for 2020...

the c38s are the bottom rung of the carbon wheel ladder from roval, if i am not mistaken.sgtrobo wrote:pretty sure the CL50s are lighter than the C38s aren't they?Shrike wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 11:43 amAny chance of the Expert weighing less out of the box than the Pro?Cdavies102 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 11:07 amSpecialized Tarmac Expert gets Ultegra Di2 for 2020...

What records are those? Any that don't involve the use of positions and/or bike templates that were subsequently banned for being too aero?
I am.
Desperately so, in fact.
The 2020 SuperSix is definitely seeming like a non-thing now, even if they do the EF Team replica as a frame-only option in the US
When the heck is Specialized going to release their updates on the webpage?

A negligible amount though considering the weight of each spesh frame will probably vary by that same amount on some bikes

There's a substantial aero benefit to the CL50 vs. C38. The CL50 rim is exactly the same as the CLX50 that's used at world tour level. Difference is no ceramicspeed bearings and no DT aero bladed spokes.

The C38 are still a great wheelset, I train and will also race on them when I can't be bothered running the 7.8s on my Allez.

Excellent point, when compared to other wheels in the market in the ~$1500 price range (C38 is $1200) nothing has the value/performance ratio they deliver.Nefarious86 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 2:17 amThe C38 are still a great wheelset, I train and will also race on them when I can't be bothered running the 7.8s on my Allez.

DT350 hubs, off the shelf J bend spokes and 21mm internal... Not much more to want from a 40ish mm set of every day wheels.

Of course yes, I was purely listing weights in response to Shrike regarding a lighter Tarmac Expert vs Pro.
I have C38 on my SWorks SL6 and they’re great but will be looking for some CL50 Or CLX50 as funds allow
