What pressures are you running your 28mm's at?

Got some 28mm clinchers on for the first time, but I'm not seeing anything definitive about the pressure to run 'em at.

Usually run 25mm's and kinda able to go by feel now, though 85/80, give or take a bit depending on what I'm doing or how much risk I feel like taking. I usually weigh between 75 to 80kg.

What sort of pressures you guys had success with. I'm hoping for a cushier ride

Pressure depends on the tyres, your weight and what you like. Go and experiment.

If it hurts your butt, you are putting too much weight on your saddle/not pedalling hard enough. My tyres have a minimum written on the side, something like 110psi.

I weigh 81-82 kg. I have 28c Schwalbe Pro One on 21.0 mm wide rims, run tubeless. They measure about 30mm wide at 60psi front and 75 rear. I ran them as low as 55 and 70, but they were a bit to squirmy and vague.

It's pretty good, the wider C38 rim really helps take the squirm out of them at low psi and if I know I'm going to be pushing the pace I'll add 5/10psi to take the little bit of squirm they develop out of the equation but for going out and grinding through Z2 they're perfect in the 60s range.

In saying that I hit near 75km/h this morning with no issues in the dark down the sweeping descent to the Spit bridge.

Everything from rolling kms to A grade Podiums with a simple 10psi adjustment lol. Keen to try the Corsa Control 2.0 once these finally wear out but I'd say I'll be waiting a while at the rate they seem to be wearing.

28mm GP5Ks, measure at 30mm on 20c rims, 80psi front, 90psi rear, 84kg rider. Maybe I could go lower, but they're comfortable and I don't want to risk pinch flats, the roads here can be pretty bad.

Vittoria Rubino Pro's, 6 bar or 8 PSI, 92kg.

My personal experience is that good cushioning comes from a quality tyre with high TPI, rather then from the tyre pressure itself.

Specialized turbo cotton 28mms, 73kgs. Between 60 to 65 psi normally.
