Campagnolo does not reccomend - but if you are light I don't see why not.
However you would not be able to do it with a Campagnolo front 160mm Caliper.
You would need a bike with a fork that takes 140mm Calipers that is through bolt like on an BMC Teammachine Disc and then use a Campy 140mm rear Caliper.
What bike is it going on?
That being said if you have a Conventional Road Flat Mount fork - the Campy 160mm Caliper is quite pretty.

working on somthing custom with a Columbus Futura Disc fork for road, or something similar.
I weigh 125lbs/57kg so was thinking a 140mm would be doable, I also always like the look of 140 rotors more.

Got it - I looked around but I don't think there are any Road Disc Forks that will allow a 140mm rotor. But I could be wrong.
That being said I still think the Campy 160mm Front Caliper is the most elegant front Caliper solution - you could always do 160f/140r.

Any experience with new standard mount rim brakes? I have experience with previous generation direct mount brakes and they were really strong on Bianchi Oltre.

I currently have sufficient brakes on my bike, they are very light but a bit soft on the lever..i tried super record direct mount brakes on Oltre (previous generation) and you merely could not press the lever further than to half..seemed very powerful..wonder if this is the difference between brakes or direct mount vs regular mount..

I've only tried DM brakes once, on an Oltre XR4. IIRC the (pre production) setup was DA 9070 with Ultegra DM brakes om Vision Metron rims. They were quite "digital" in feel; I had to be a lot more careful with modulation than with the SR Skeletons and Shamals that I had myself at the time.

Record vs Super Record, the main difference is in the cult bearing in the crankset correct??
..and a little bit more carbon on the components......otherwise they are both the same?
How big of a difference are the crankset? .......price wise, its nearly 800usd difference

They are “otherwise” not the same- they say SUPER. That immediately makes them 100x better.

am i correct that there is currently no way of using 12 speed on TT set up without going EPS ? thanks.
Some say pour 10ml water out of your bottle to save that last bit of the weight. Sorry, i go one step further, i tend to the rider off my bikes.

There isn't a mechanical bar end shifter for 12sp, no. It might be do-able if you could find a non-indexed bar end with enough cable pull.
Bear in mind that TT frames often have long and convoluted cable runs that make e-shifting a better option anyway. The entry price of EPS 12 is painful though. Hopefully a chorus version will come through.

The SR crankset is hollow, quite a big difference in weight...
Other than this, no significant differences between R12 and SR12 (I know, I know. SIGNIFICANT).
