Timmerrr's Litespeed Cherohala

After selling my old 2012 Madone and buying my dream bike, the new S5 disc, I realized that the Madone was a pretty good race bike, but my fit on it was not very agressive and it still worked for slow coffee rides and packing on big miles (150+). The S5 is a fantastic bike in almost every way but there is no way around the fact that it is a pure bread racer. That coupled with an aggressive race fit, made it a lot less fun to ride at slower paces or when just crushing big miles. So that is where this project comes in.
I purchased a M/L Cherohala from litespeed last week to fill the gap as well as to hit some gravel. The frame and some of the other parts are just starting to trickle in.
Build:
Litespeed Cherohala M/L : 1530g (including derailleur hanger and seat post clamp)
Litespeed Carbon Fork: 520g (uncut with cable guide still in place. Stem will likely be slammed so lots of steerer to come off.)
Crane Creek 40 Series headset: 114g
Ultegra R6870 Hydro Di2 50/34: 2177g (only derailleurs, shifters, crankset, calipers and battery. No wires, lines, junction boxes or rotors) ($700 almost new on ebay! Steal!)
Wheels MFG PF30 BB: 165g
HED Grand Tour Oversized 110mm Stem: 130g
Oval Concepts 910 Carbon bar 420mm: 230g
FSA SL-K 31.6mm UD carbon Seat post 350mm 20mm set back: 238g
Prologo Dimesion Space 153mm: 240g
Look Keo Classic pedals: 300g
Parts still waiting on:
Light Bicycle 56mm deep 30 mm wide road wheels (should be around 1480g)
So while I am waiting on the the wheels, as I ordered them from the international site for the best price, I will swap my Enve 5.6 from the S5 to get it on the road. They weigh 2690g with GP4kSII, regular tubes, sram force 11-26 cassette and dura ace rotors.
Grand total at the moment: 8.33kg
With the light bike wheels, my spare 11-30 dura ace cassette, new turbo cotton hell of the north tires and lighter tubes, I hope to get closer to 8kg.
Yes it is not a weight weenie build but I think I did a pretty good job of making this as light as possible on a reasonable budget while doing the frame justice.
I will likely be getting a gravel wheel set as well to pair with some 40mm wide tires for some off road adventuring!

Those are cool frames. Can you take some closer pics of the cable routing? Does it exit around the BB shell?
The bike is at the shop getting the bb and headset pressed in atm but, the Di2 wires pass around the bb internally and the rear hydro line comes out just in front of the bb. I will take pics when I get the frame back.

Well, after crashing my S5 this weekend while racing, I needed to get this done to have a bike to ride in the mean time. No major damage on the S5, just a broken spoke a new saddle and seatpost needed. The cable routing at the front isn’t pretty but for the time bing it is rideable. Currently 8.51kg which is pretty much what I expected. The upgrades will come at some point in the way of a lighter bar, seatpost, cassette and the light bicycle wheels which hit us customs yesterday! It was also very pretty on the lake today!

I’m glad you pointed it out! I actually forgot to torque down the bars and on my half mile cruse to the lake they rotated down that far... that and the lever placement was a bit off.
