1. Chamois cream. Yup
2. Base layer. All about the layers.
3. Long ass hair. I get tons of room on the road because, yeah, people think I’m a girl.

Probably the Ass saver and chamois cream for most useful, then the raceware direct mount for being nicer/lighter than the other offereing.

Orbital, how long is you ass hair exactly? :-)

1 kickr trainer, this has helped increase my power numbers a lot. Winter can be long in Maryland and with little kids my ride schedule can be sparse. My trainer is always available

2 Nice bibs, these are a personal choice but they matter

3 LASIK, this will be my first full season without prescription glasses. Being able to use cycling glasses or none at all is fantastic.

I would agree 100% with this list. For me it would be ordered differently:

1. Bibs
2. LASIK
3. Smart Trainer (I'm on my second one - first was a TACX Vortex Smart, now a FluxS).

If I could add a 4th item, though (since LASIK isn't an item, per se) it would definitely be Strava (as a means of tracking improvements).

1. The new style Bontrager Flare RT - Tiny, lightweight, day flash, great battery life.
2. Garmin 1030 - The new roundtrip routing with heatmap is a major improvement over the 1000.
3. Oakley EVZero Prizm Road - Always skeptical about Oakley hype but these surprised me. I forget they are even there. Excellent optics.

2. Varia Radar - way to many EV's here in the Bay Area
3. Good pair of bibs - shorts? What was I thinking!!!!

Does the Varia let you know when a car is giving you a wide berth or if a car is going to buzz you close?

1. Nice shoes with perfect fit (Gaerne G. Chrono or Sidi Wire in my case)
2. Nice glasses with perfect fit (100% S2 glasses in my case. I had Oakley EV path prizm before, very, very nice but not the coverage I'd like)
3. Nice helmet with perfect fit (LAS Cobalto or Galaxy helmet in my case, much better than a Lazer Z1 I tested which is considered among the best)
