Seems most bikes are priced +/- US$5000/5000€, which is quite competitive vs UDi2 equipped bikes in the US.
Tbh Force Etap is a hard sell vs. Ultegra Di2... 200 grams heavier, 50% less time before needing to recharge, more friction in the heaviest (and lightest?) gear, uglier looks. It's kind of a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I'm not surprised it's similarily priced on complete bikes.

Not to mention the maintenance costs for the chains, cassette and chainrings is up in the Dura Ace relm....

I didn't even think of this point. It just further adds to why would anyone invest in the new Etap? I think now we need a solution to the problems created by Etap non-AXS. All the major cycling outlets still continue to avoid these real criticisms though.

Do not see "new" cassette option like 10-36, 10-38, 10-40 or similar. It will be good reason to think about AXS 1x12

Too bad none of them are complete groupsets.

What are they thinking. Even with future deeeep discounts it's still way more than an ultegra cassette at $60 or so a pop (if Ultegra is supposed to be the closest competitor).

I ordered Ultegra Di2, change from aging Red Mech.
Probably won't be back on Sram camp anytime soon for reasons discussed in these posts.
What a miss opportunity, if only they keep 16t jump up front so the 12th gear is the new useful gear rather than exist to compensate for less range up front (which aids their front shifting to catch up with Shimano level),
if only they are more open in term of compatibility,
if only they keep pricing in check,
if only they keep weight in check,
if only they didn't drop the ball...

Interesting "first ride impressions" (read : softball reviews at sponsored events)
Bikeradar is all bliss except the weight, CyclingTips kinda hints at not-stellar braking and ergonomics.

Kinda seems like a groupset that fits allroad bikes with the chain control and added gear range, surprised to see it at pure racing bikes like the Venge.

So rim shifters, front/rear mech and a battery charger are currently the same price as a complete UDI2 groupset minus BB. And the cassette and chainset you need are way more expensive than the ones included with the Ultegra group.

That is a really tough sell outside of OE bikes.

So you can basically get a casette and 3 chains for less than one Force casette.

Whats all the thing with the cassette that you can only fit it to a certain hub?
If i were to get the part group i would buy a normal chainset and 12 speed campag cassette so that i could fit it on to a normal free hub.
