Bike Radar gave etap 5/5 stars btw....I wonder how much bias there is in that review.
Warren (the guy who reviews the new group) is a shabby reviewer. Doesn't say much if anything at all. Try the ever exhaustive cyclingtips review by James Huang. He made a good few criticisms.

I'm still disappointed Sram did not issue a firmware update so the prior etap shifters could work with the new 12 speed axs. Personally I could care less about the app and it's required bluetooth connection to the shifters. A firmware update would have shown Srams committent to prior tech they released but I guess not....

Cranks not rings require the PM change. Why do we need one anyway?

They should've updated Gen 1 to have connectivity of AXS(isn't that what the idiotic stick was for?).

Nope. It was all good when stuff was cross compatible. Now the manu's are going to eat their young in a market that's already failing. Consumers don't want another bb standard, unique chain, freehub bodies that are unique yada. The sweetspot of 11 is that all the big 3's cassettes etc are interchangeable.
This!
The direction we’re now heading really sucks with proprietary every and cross-compatible nothing. It’s super annoying for those of us with multiple bikes who want to swap wheels and stuff across bikes without changing out casseeetes (and now freehub bodies)!
And what does this mean for neutral wheel support on events like Haut Route. It was hard enough when they needed both rim and disc options, now add in 11s Shimano, 12 speed Campy, and 12 speed XDR?! Pretty soon sag cars are going to need to be sag trucks to carry all the necessary parts.

That’s 2 years old!!
I will buy my first set of sram anything when Chitmano goes bankrupt and folds and Campy has burnt to the ground along with all their supplies for even 8 sp left out in the world!!!
Just bought Campy 11 SR for 2 bikes last year. They are getting changed only when 11sp EPS becomes wireless, IF EVER!!!!

Got it from a distributor in EU. Everything (crank, cassette, discs, etc) for $2k. His last kit.
I have not seen US pricing on full group but I’m sure it’s absurd. I think ugly too.

I just bought previous gen eTap at a steal price. New stuff is esthetically challenged.
On sale? Where? Thank you.

No, it's rings that require a whole new system. What a joke.

I like the gear range, a wider range is mostly good in the mountains where you need low gears but can spin out on descents... but that's it, and it's not enough to upgrade my current 11 speed eTAP. Too much money for too little incentives that comes with a few annoyances (too much integration and locking into all things SRAM eTAP AXS, more weight...). I would maybe consider it if I was buying a new bike and it came with it... but even that, I'm not sure.
