I'm looking to upgrade my road disc wheels. Basically looking for something like enve 3.4 disc in terms of depth and weight.. just not the 4k price tag they come with. Anyone have any suggestions for builds rims, hubs and spokes. I guess centrelock hubs and ~1400g would be ideal.. Thanks in advance.

i've been a big fan of the mcfk 35 rims... can build them with dt swiss 240s at fairwheelbikes.

I did have a look at them. What did yours come in at? Can you get them without the silly white branding all over the rim?

I had a set of MCFK35 rims with Newmen CL hubs and Cx-Ray spokes built up recently. The weight of those with rim tape came in at 1290g.

MCFK 35 disc rims with Extralite SPD-2 hubs. It came in at 1210 grams for the set.

Also i cut the white parts of the decals off. I also have custom mcfk stickers coming in that would make it more "tasteful"

Thanks for the input. I think i'm going to go with some MCFK - not sure on 35 or 45mm at this stage. I plan on using centrelock, so I guess that rules out extralight. Other than dtswiss240's, any other hubs recs?

tnkn - how do you like the newmen hubs?

Here is Tour magazin 10/2017 group test and at least Mcfk 55 is pretty aero but side wind effects are not that nice. The issue is available at least in App Store for the whole review.

I used Bitex BX106F and R for my budget centerlock disc wheel build. Light enough and cheap.
