I experienced the same issue with the Stages and the F10 frameset. I think that is a Pinarello design faillure.
I did not buy the Stages and luckily I saw it in time. I have the P2M now and it works great.

I wonder if the Shimano Stages has the same chain stay clearance issues that the Campagnolo Stages has. After all, Team Sky use Stages in the F10. I agree that it is a design oversight of the F10. I am now trying to decide between a P2M NG, a P2M NG eco, or an SRM.

Close ups of the diamond pattern (Magix) and carbon weave on the fork, head tube, and top tube.
I noticed that there is a similar, more subtle design in the channel of the current fi'zi:k Antares Versus evo saddle.

Most recent upgrades to my F10:
1. Replaced Super Record crankset with Power2Max NGeco (+162 grams).
2. Replaced stock alloy saddle clamp with Berk carbon fiber saddle clamp (-28 grams).
Net gain is 134 grams (0.3 pounds) heavier.

In an effort to increase it’s weight and make it more difficult to keep clean, I sold the matte carbon (BoB) F10 frame and replaced it with a glossy white/sky blue/navy blue (Ametista) F10. “Ametista” is Italian for “Amethyst”, a purple quartz gemstone. I must be colorblind because I don’t see any purple in this frame.

The white paint increased the weight of the frame and fork by about 170 grams over the matte carbon. This was a compromise I was willing to make, as the Ametista was a rather unique color combination.
The F10 might only have marginal gains over the F8, but it is still like the Colnago of Pinarellos (even though it is made in Taiwan but has a “Made in Italy” sticker on it).

Discovered a small crack on my 3T Ergonova handlebar near the clamp. Due to safety concerns, I decided to switch to a Deda Superleggero stem and handlebar combo.
