Here's the thread about my 5.32kg Cervelo R5Ca. About 5Kg "magazine weight" (no cages or pedals). Full Di2 with climbing shifter and power meter. https://weightweenies.starbike.com/foru ... 0&t=139732
Come on you can do better than that. Sub 5kg is entry level and sub 4kg is serious weightweenieism.964Cup wrote: ↑Thu Jul 26, 2018 9:37 pmHere's the thread about my 5.32kg Cervelo R5Ca. @4ibanez has a great build. Mine is 6kg which isn't serious weenie but done on a budget. I only spent £170 on the frame and hand sanded it myself (40 hrs of work). @4ibanez did the same with his build.
Might be good to know a bit more about the context of the feature you want to do... is it to show just how crazy light (safety and cost be damned) a bike can be built. Or is it to show just how light is too light? Or maybe it's just to show how crazy some of these British WeightWeenie types really are in real life. Will look forward to the feature whatever it is.

Remember to check out the hillclimb scene too. When you boil it down to a bike that only needs to do one job, you tend to get slightly more bonkers results. Someone like the author of this article may be worth a shout.
