Why the hell is Nibali having his team help with the pace?
Because Sky were giving the impression that they were totally fine with Valverde riding as far away as he wanted. They don't think he's a threat to Froome for the win, but he may well be a threat to someone else's place on the podium.

My wife was shouting at Pellizotti.

“Stop pulling! Make Sky chase!”

Sometimes I think these guys lose sight of the long game.

Kind of embarrassing for Nibali if he’s already racing for a podium position, and not the win, halfway through the race.

What if Dumoulin (with Andersen) joins Valverde (Soler) before the final climb? That would be VERY good!

Valverde will probably suck wheel and refuse to work.

Edit: Valverde shaking his head, refusing to come through.

Not sure if Valverde didn't want to pull or just couldn't ?

Edit: Valverde could not - he now can not follow Dumoulin.

Nailed it.

They are happy to let Thomas go, like Porte he is a one week stage racer - he won't last three weeks.
