Absolutely amazing Giro.. Froome with ride of this century.

He's gaining a minute on the decent on the Finestre.

Even on a moto crashed down the sinstre. Froome avoided it in that dark tunnel.. Could of been the worst possible result.

So gutted for Yates.. Loved his panache so far but did feel he was doing too much in the first two weeks.

He'll learn from this and be all the better next time.

As much as it pains me and I'd like to be naive, my first reaction to all this is "yawn, another superhuman performance by Froome".

Well Floyd went from 8 minute deficit to 8 minute gain day-by-day. Froome clearly wasn't good the first week and was so-so on the 2nd. Remember, he was barely ahead of Yates on Zoncolan, so most likely went all-in for at least a stage win since, even if he felt better and maybe expected Yates to fade in the 3rd week, a 15minute meltdown was definitely not on the table of expectations.

What it shows, even though they most likely are using various grey area stuff, blood transfusions ("fountain of youth", as Hamilton wrote) definitely aren't there as we don't see any rider dominating all 3 weeks anymore, and recently many GTs are decided by different 3-week peaking strategies.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike

Just realized why they call it the "chasing" group, not the "catching" group.

Wouldn't it be better for Dumoulin to ditch the group and try and bridge the gap?

Anyone know when Froome started using a Specialized Power saddle? I just saw him get out of the saddle and there was the unmistakable shape of the Power. He had been using the Fizik Arione for a long time.

Ben O'Connor's unfortunately had an off into a barrier and retired injured.. Such a impressive ride for the next big gc hope for Australia.

Yes looks like froome ditched the fizik for a power saddle..

Hard to imagine the mental crush on Yates :unbelievable:

Floyd is going to win Morzine.....

I HATE SKY! They ruined all the believe I had in cycling the last few years with their marginal gains and other bullshit. I cannot watch this without any doubts :-(

Procycling is a sport in which I have learned to celebrate the ride, and remain skeptical of the rider.

As a fan of competitive sport in which the competitive aspects have come to dominate the sporting one's, it's the only way I can enjoy it.
