no wonder Berk is having trouble answering all the incoming mail since they are now apparently winning races in the pro peloton 😁

Hi. What are pros and cons of round rails vs oval? I'm assuming oval is just stronger, but a little heavier? I'm 148 lbs. Would round be the way to go for my weight?

My weight is around 148 lbs too and I had no issues with round-railed Lupina on a road bike.

I got to say if you are even in the least bit considering a new saddle you have to try a Berk .....

- They are by far the most comfortable saddles you will ever use, due to the great designs and built in flex.

- The light weight and great looks is an added plus !

- Velo Solutions, the distributor in the U.S., customer service is outstanding !!!

I got my Berk before Velo Solutions was the distributor in the U.S. but I reached out to them when I had a small issue with my Berk. Issues dont really bother me as all companies have them, its how they handle the issues that makes the real difference.

Eric at Elite Velo Solutions sent me a replacement saddle right away, his customer service has been outstanding, Berk made an excellent choice by having Velo Solutions represent them here in the U.S.

This just goes to show how high Berk and Velo Solutions standards are on their products and service. A truly rare combination these days !

Big thumbs-up to Berk and Velo Solutions.

No issues on my Berk Lupina (unpadded), but this post is a bit of happy sunshine for "just in case."

Berk's site indicates a higher allowable rider weight with oval rails (85kg vs 100kg).

Not sure of any other pro's / con's.

Did Froom today won on a Berk Dila padded or a Specialized power or a prototype Fizik Antares?

From what Elite Velo has said its

7mm round rails accommodate max rider weight of 187lbs.
7x9 oval rails accommodate a max rider weight of 220lbs.

Is Sigma Sport a good place to purchase the Berk Lupina saddle for a U.S. buyer? I'm looking to purchase the 3K matte for my 2018 De Rosa SK Pininfarina. I assume the saddle rail is 7x9? Thanks!

Here's a thought, what about directly from Berk? https://www.berk-composites.com/
