before the Giro last season he was also being hyped as some sort of supreme TT rider and in the other thread I posted about how nothing in his palmares at that point showed that to be the case (not even in the Nationals).. but then he rode one step below the podium behind Dumoulin in the first TT and then won the opening TT at the Tour ... sure showed me. He crashes all the time though, even back when he was focused on the classics.
