The ditching of the traditional sizes has to do with the construction method used for the upper part of the bike (seat tube-top tube-seatstays ).The market for traditional sizes is (unfortunately)too small to justify the investment. On the other hand, it will give a more homogeneous result on the ride characteristics across the size range. Plus,it will allow more "modern" clamp mechanism to be used.

My C60 takes most of the 25 mm tires i have tried. The only tyre it didnt take was Dugast Strada on Easton EC90 wheels. The combos that works for 25mm is:
  • Veloflex Arenberg tubular on Campagnolo Bora
  • Veloflex Arenberg tubular on Fulcrum racing Zero tubular rims
  • Conti Competition tubular on Boras
  • Vittoria Corsa CX tubular on Boras
  • Veloflex Arenberg on Easton EC90
  • Continental 4-season clincher on Fulcrum 7
  • Continental GP4000 on Fulcrum 7
  • Continental GP4000 on Campagnolo Zonda C17
  • Veloflex Corsa on DT swiss PR 1400 Oxic
The best tyres of these in my opinion is Veloflex Arenberg for Tubular and Veloflex Corsa for Clincher. The Veloflex clincher feels like a tubular, and feels way better than Conti GP4000. But thats another discussion

The C60 will take 26mm S-Works turbo cottons - With an application of black sharpie
It will also take 25mm Schwalbe Pro 1 Tubeless

Are they still in collaboration with Giant, and their job is just to assemble and paint tubes shipped from Taiwan? If so I can fathom who's behind the decision to lean away from the traditional geometries.

Looks like a one piece stem/handlebar.

Ok... so not really anything to do with the frame however.

The C64 Fabio Aru is riding is equipped with a Deda Zero100 stem and Superleggera handlebar. Its unlikely that a stem and handlebar are part of the C64's new technology and was only used for the launch video. The most significant changes in the C64 appear to be in the design of the V2-R style seat and chain stays which can be seen in the launch video. The C64 looks like a small evolution of the C60.

Had a look at the V2-R and that's the same stem I think. It's not a one-piece, just has that jazzy look to it. Referred only as 'Colnago Carbon' in the spec sheet. It's paired with a Deda Super Zero bar. Quite nice actually, good looking bit of kit.

Oh well, thought Colnago were going to go full aero-speek on the C60 marketing. Quite shocked earlier when I saw that, doesn't really fit the C60's philosophy.

Colnago have developed an integrated stem bar though, but it's not one piece. Don't think this is the same one in the video, looks more like the V2-R's.

Not really a revolution! But what could they really improve on the C60?
