Hey everyone

Got this last year and been steadily building it up, I have a white CAAD9 so fancied doing a black on black project

CAAD10-1 52cm anodised black
Dura Ace 7900
KMC X10 SL chain
TRP 979 EQ brakes
Arundel Mandible bottle cages matt 3k
Thomson Masterpiece seatpost (swapped to Cannondale C2 UD seatpost for 2013 due to slippage issue with the Thomson - works fine on my CAAD9! :| )
Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbino
Zipp Service Course CSL SSR bars in Beyond Black
Zipp Service Course SL stem in Beyond Black
Fizik Microtex
FSA SL-K light BB30 cranks (swapped chainrings to Praxis Works for 2013)
Look Keo Blade 12nm
Ti bolts
Carbon Ti x-plug/top cap
Zipp 303 Tubular / Veloflex Carbon 22mm / Corima Cork pads (beyond black Zipp decals now on)
Mavic Ksyrium SLR / Powerlink & Griplink / Mavic pads
K-Edge Garmin mount
Garmin cadence sensor, magnets etc

Weight with Zipp 303 = 6.56 Kg
Weight with Ksyrium SLR = 6.84 Kg

Changes for 2013 - new wheels, Praxis chainrings and seatpost swap. Scored a day off last week on the nicest day of the year so far, apologies for iphone pics

Future changes - I may swap the bars at some point as I fancy trying some more ergonomic shaped ones. Not decided which yet but the new Thomson carbon look quite nice, or the Deda Superleggera RHM's. For neatness I may also strip the logos from the crank, undecided as yet

Nice build, just gotta remove the size sticker! What's your height, inside leg and bb-top of the saddle? I'm strongly considering a CAAD10 in a 50 or 52cm.

Yes, the size sticker needs to go....probably 5g or so right there. Otherwise, a very fine piece of machinery!

Thanks guys, del - I'm 172cm tall, 76cm inseam and BB to top of saddle is 68.5cm measured along the seat tube.

Size sticker now gone, it weighed less than a gram but every little counts!

Awesome, cheers for the info. Looks like a 50cm slammed would be a tad bit too aggressive for me. 72.5cm bb-top of saddle.

Thos Praxis rings make it look 110% more awesome.

Gahh! I totally agree it looks much, much nicer with the black Praxis chainrings. I have the same bike and I have been contemplating getting those chainrings, but it would mostly be for an aesthetic upgrade as I have no complaints about the performance of the FSA rings. I am still trying to save for other upgrades that would have a bigger performance/weight benefit, but seeing the transition on your bike is making it hard to resist some sexy black chainrings.

If it helps the FSA rings were 157 grams and the Praxis rings were 125 grams so 32 gram saving, front shift performance is improved as well plus they look miles better 8)

Any weight gain by changing to praxis?

32 grams loss from FSA chainrings, plus better front shifting. The black anodising does eventually wear through on the teeth

This looks absolutely sick! Love it!

Looks ace with the 303s on it. Brakes are sweet too.
