A light bike doesn't replace good fitness.

Hi,

So, I've had a knee fat pad arthroscopy resection and will get the ok from the doctor to start ridding at 100% in a few weeks, in the meantime I'm planning my training for the goals that I still have in the season, which is a 4 days XC mtb stage race in September.
After I start back training how many weeks should I do of base? Will have +/- 4 months in total to train before the event.
Before getting injured 2 months ago, I was doing +/- 12h per week of training on the bike(sweetspot based training and was still in base phase) + 2h more of core work and my FTP was at 4.7w/kg. Should I go straight back to the same training volume (regarding the number of hours) ? Or should I ease back into it?

Thanks
