Paring bluetooth sensors with Garmin 810
Moderator: Moderator Team
Garmin did not introduce functionality for paring with phones via bluetooth until the release of the Edge 520/820/1020 and the 1030 is the first Edge series head unit to support bluetooth sensors.

shuts gotta consider is it worth spending money on ant+ sensors
That's partially correct. Garmin introduced bluetooth (phone connection) with the 510/810/1000 generation (I had an 810 and I could connect to the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone). Bluetooth sensors was with the 1030 (certainly not the 520, which I have now). I'm not sure if it's compatible with the 820, however.
