Hi guys,
what sort of spondown times do you get?
I've moved from a KICKR V1 (2015) to a V3 (2017) and have seen spindown times go from around 12-15s up to 38-50s. Also when you do the spindown it's quite hard to stay below the 22mph target as there's almost no resistance.
Anyone else had this?
Thanks
Chris

Oh maybe mines ok. Does it feel like there's almost no resistance when you are pedalling to the target speed?

Also do you compare it to a power meter?

there's very little resistance when pedalling to target speed. I do have to be in big ring to reach the 36kph though.

spindowns on a kickr 1's and 2018 should be in around 20. 15-25 somewhere there. You can overshoot 22mph it's fine, it will measure spindown from 22-10mph. I'm not sure how you could see a spindown of 50 unless you kept pedaling, but i haven't used a kickr (3) 2017. Or your belt is smoked and about to fall off.

Thanks guys...slowly getting there. I need to re index the gears. If I change them to match the cassette on the kickr will I need to reset again when I reattach the back wheel and take the bike out on the road?

You will need to reset, I use an ultegra on the trainer and red on the wheel and it’s pretty spot on though

I used some centerlock disc shims to move the cassette out on my kickr to match my wheel set. No more reindexing.
