Oh yes, those would be great, but that would mean going with disc which would solve the tire size issue but would cause other issues. Things start to get heavy and with 5000 meters of climbing daily, I'd rather go with the lightest setup that will work - that likely means rim brakes. At the same weight there would be no debate.
