I will visit Toulouse on august for one month with my bike.
except for going one week to the Pyrenees, What is the Toulouse road cycling scene like ? Interested to know (in priority order):

1. Roads - routes in Toulouse and around the Country.
2. Competitive group rides and clubs.
3. local Races.
4. Good Bike shops

is a few good bike shops in the area, visit Jalaberts bike shop, near balgnac airport, in a commercial centre there. can't remember its name though.
the scene is pretty good down there too. Don't have any of my old contacts anymore though, sorry.
Have fun down there, is a lovely part of the world. You can go out training in the right areas at the right times, and see one car an hour!

Thanks for the reply, i will be landing tomorrow.
Except for going to do some climbs in the Pyrenees,
i would like to have advice on the following:

1. the most recommended routs and places to ride
2. "open" Competitive group rides and clubs so we join
3. good bike shops :)
4. local racing

go to blagnac commercial centre, right near the airport, thats where the couture velo (i think thats the name) shop is,
