This is such sad news, Calnago's posts where the main reason I kept checking in to this forum.
His instruction on setting up the R8000 rear derailleur and chain length is text book stuff!
And his build thread about his Koppenberg was a particular highlight.

His presence on this forum will be sadly missed, RIP.

I just saw this and am so sad. We had pm’ed a few times this past year, as I’ve just moved back to Seattle. I so regret that we never had the chance to ride together. It’s amazing - and wonderful - that so many of us feel like we have lost a friend even though we’ve never met.

I just stumbled across this thread and had been wondering if he just left the forum for a break or who knows what. I am fairly new to this thread or at least thats how it feels to me and whenever I seen Calnagos name on any of the threads I would check it out. I too received some good advice from the man and he helped me out when I was deciding on which frame size V2R (not typical Colnago geo) I should go with. He was a very detail oriented individual who seemed to have unlimited patience for many serious and not so serious questions. I have bookmarked a few of the threads that he posted I mean how can you not.
His legacy shall live on in this forum forever. I am sure if you linked all the threads he has written it would be a book of hundreds of pages.
My condolences to his family and friends
Ride your Colnago in the clouds forever Calnago.

I had been wondering for months where my favorite member had gone. I had sent him a PM in December to thank him for the detailed instructions on how to setup a campagnolo mechanical drivetrain. I used his detailed information for my first full campy build. Usually on these forums, myself included, we drown out the great wealth of information available with our loud voices and overly strong opinions. I always appreciated WW to be a bastion of knowledge from informed riders, and Calnago was undoubtedly the leader.

The tribute I will pay is riding the SR12 group his thread "inside and out" inspired. It is on my favorite, and most cherished bike.

I would encourage others to read his obituary as well. It speaks to exactly the person we came to know on this forum. So incredibly sad.

Thanks for the link.

Also found his untimely passing was due to an undetected heart condition.

Ride on Cal... You made our time here all the better. The forum is much less without you.

Thanks for the obituary link. After enjoying his posts on this forum for over a decade, so it really feels this forum is now missing something...
