Since the attachment size limit was lifted, more users will probably start to attach images instead of third party services like Imgur. If, like me, you find the regular image viewing approach (i.e. all images on a separate page) lacking in the UX department, you might also find this little userscript I made plenty useful. It opens all attached images in an overlay on the same page and allows to navigate through current page images. Tested in FF58/Greasemonkey 4 and Chrome/Tampermonkey. Feel free to provide feedback in this thread or as gist comments over at GitHub.

Installation: install Greasemonkey extension (Firefox) or Tampermonkey (Chrome), navigate here, click the install button.
